Benchmark indices traded flat for the second continuous trading session as it remains range bound for the most part of the session amid the cautious global cues as concerns over the global central banks’ ability to stimulate growth continued to hurt risk-appetite. However, nifty ended the session to close in green as buying was seen in reliance in the second half of the trading session. Nifty ended the session to close at 8742.55 just 16 points higher. Major gainers were BHEL, ZEEL, Reliance whereas losses were incurred by Yes Bank, Power Grid and Tata Steel.
Global Markets Update:
- Mc Donald’s finally grabs bids from three groups for its outlets in China and Hong Kong, with global private equity firm Carlyle Group and TPG Capital is separately teaming up for a business worth of USD 3 billion.
- European Stocks were mixed on Thursday as traders around the globe are skeptical with regards to upcoming central bank’s speech next week, concerning about interest rate deduction.
