Benchmark indices traded mixed and ended lower on the second trading session of the week after the surprise ousted of Cyrus Mistry from conglomerate the Tata Sons as chairman which caught the market by surprise. The Nifty ended the session to close at 8691.30 i.e.17.65 points lower.
Adani Ports, Dr Reddy, Infratel and Asian Paints were the top gainers of the Tata Steel, M&M, IDEA and GAIL were the top losers of the day.

Shares in Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena turned negative with the sector and were suspended from trading after a 23 percent drop.
