Benchmark Nifty edged lower on today’s session as caution prevailed ahead of corporate results regarding tax reform bill. The market was plunged more after the weak opening of Euro indices DAX and CAC 40. Overall, there was a wind of month end correction where Nifty crossed its strong support of 8550. Nifty 50 lose 55 points and closed at 8510.
ACC, Ultratech, IndusInd Bank were top gainers while Axis Bank, POwergrid, BOB were top losers for the day.
Global Markets Update:
- Asian stocks climbed to nine-month highs, helped by a recovery in global oil prices, while the dollar strengthened against the yen on resurgent expectations of a U.S. interest rate hike this year.
- Hyundai Motor on Thursday said it plans to open its first dedicated store for its Genesis luxury car line near Seoul later this year, as the South Korean automaker looks to build a separate identity for the brand.
