The domestic stock market bounced back on Friday, amid positive global cues on hopes that the United States and China may resolve their tariff dispute. Sentiment improved after the media reported that finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met chiefs of public sector lenders today. On the macro front, GDP and infrastructure output data will be closely watched. India’s Q2 gross domestic product (GDP) growth data will be released after market hours today, 30 August 2019.

Global Markets

E-cigarette maker Juul Labs Inc has raised $785.2 million in an equity and debt offering as it looks to expand globally. U.S. stocks were mixed, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.16%, while the S&P 500 index gained 0.06%.

Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.The AEX added 0.73%.
