Benchmark indices traded lower on the very first trading session of the week to end in red of ahead of key economic data to be announced on Wednesday of IIP and Inflation. Domestic sentiment was also hit as Asian stocks slipped as increased geopolitical risks prompted investors to favor safe-haven bets such as government debt while the dollar drew support from Federal Reserve policy tightening expectations. Nifty ended the session to close at 9209.Media and Metal stock stocks were the major gainers of the day while IT and Reality stocks were the losers for the day.
